Happy Music Video


 This is my second major project of the year. This time it was with a new group so you could say that this was our groups first major project of the year. This Music Video was to the song Happy by Pharrell Williams. We really tried our best to emphasize the joy of this song and act out some of the lyrics. Production Blog: Filming Tomorrow

 Hello Again and Welcome back to the blog. Last blog I discussed what my group would be doing to film the music video and who would be doing what. Me and my group will be filming tomorrow. We have also made adjustments to the schedule. Me and my group will be filming tomorrow but we will only shoot scenes that require 3 people or less. We are doing this because most of the people we have contacted said they weren't able to help film on a weekday. Because of this, we have moved the rest of the filming to Friday, December 16th. We plan to film solo dances as well as the intro to the music video. There won't be much people around the area on a Tuesday afternoon so it works out perfectly. We also plan on scouting out some good locations to shoot at on Friday. After the first filming session I also plan on editing some of the clips together so I don't have to do it all in one day. Title Research: Outbreak

Title research: Outbreak Found from art of the titles 1.        What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? In the 30 seconds it shows the actors names, then follows with the title card ‘OUTBREAK’. When it goes into the opening scenes it shows the producers name and all the costume makers, sound, music, etc.…It also has words to tell what is happening during the scene like ‘BIOSAFETY LEVEL 2. 2.       What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The images prioritized are some agents in a lab somewhere remote and guarded. This is a high-end place with them describing as high biohazard and multiple infectious agents in there. They also have these complicated suits on everyone in the place. They are led by a general in army clothing. 3.             What connotations do these images carry? Genre Decision: Thriller

We started our decision of what genre our final task would be set in by looking at a list of the various genres there are in film. After thoroughly investigating each genre, we rejected the ones that either our movie couldn't be or weren't what we wanted it to be. We settled on the genres of drama, thriller, and mystery. After deciding on those potential genres, we discussed and considered how our movie's story may fit into each one. We made an effort to envision how our project would turn out given the genre we chose and how much we would enjoy the plot's premise within that genre. If our final task was set in the drama genre, we would have to incorporate love or to focus on how the main character’s friend could lead the main character to success.
