Production Blog: Plans for the Music Video

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog. Over the past few days, my groupmates and I have been deciding who should do what before recording the music video. Over the past couple days we have been assigning characters and parts for our music video. For one of the scenes, we decided to have someone playing basketball. We decided the person playing this role should be wearing athletic gear. For this, we chose Thomas Ferner. The downside of this is that he does not play basketball so i may require a couple takes to get the scene right. For the next few scenes, Me and Angel will be introduced by Umbrellas. The first scene has only one person and the 2nd scene was with two people. One of these scenes includes us filming on in an alleyway where we would dance and act "happy". Then, for a bike scene, we selected Angel. I live nearby and have a nice green cruiser bike. The rest of the props will be brought by myself as I live nearby to the location. I will provide the umbrellas and such, all the others need to do is bring a proper shirt. We will be filming on December 12th at 5:00 PM. This is because the sunset will be happening and it should make the video look much better. We will be bringing 3 extra people to be in the cast and help film. I have contacted my friend Jayden and await a response.

Critical Reflection

How do your products represent social groups or issues?     Our product illustrates how social groups are represented by presenting two guys of younger age and lower socioeconomic status who take on a camping trip. As soon as they finish setting up the campsite, they decide to explore the surrounding area of the campground, while doing so, Jean (white shirt) brings up a story of a person who had gone missing while exploring the same parts which he had read online. Riley responds that Jean is being ridiculous. Jean then further elaborates that the missing person was a child they once knew. Social groups are represented in the film as camping as a vacation is representative of a person who is young and of a lower socioeconomic class, which defines the two boys.
