  For the final task, after much consideration, we decided on two pitches. The first pitch would be of a guy that lives with his best friend. He and his friend are very close, they do everything together, however, his friend isn't actually real and it is only a hallucination. For our second pitch, we decided to go with a similar idea. This story follows a person who is diagnosed with dementia and it follows the stages of dementia where the person slowly forgets everything they've ever known until not one memory is left and they are not able to take care of themself. The first pitch, of the guy who has a fake friend that is only just a hallucination, this pitch has a very straightforward plot that leaves little room for confusion. - What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?   The main character’s best friend was just a figment of his mind, which was revealed at the end of the movie. He was a creation of everything the main character wanted to be, and when the main character became this, the friend vanished. The movie is remarkably similar to our film idea through elements such as having a flawed main character. Our protagonist has a degree of schizophrenia which is how he is able to conjure a best friend in his mind. Pans and tilts are also used.   Common Mis-En-Scene in your genre (CLAMPS) Mis-En-scene – Dark hues and subdued lighting are used in mystery films to evoke mystery and suspense. This could also be done purposefully within the plot to keep certain details from the main character. Urban settings are frequently used in mystery films. This is done to make the audience feel comfortable, as this is a familiar environment and could make the audience feel as if it could be them in the circumstance .
